Cape Cross Reserve and seals is open to visitors throughout the year. This is the largest population of fur seals on the South African coast. In November and December, at the peak of the breeding season on the Cape are going to 200,000 of these animals. The name Cape Cross was in 1486 after the Portuguese navigator Diego Shao set the first stone at Cape Cross, a copy of the cross can be seen in our days, and the original is kept in Portugal.
