The Regional Art Museum of the Murmansk region is located in the old building of the city of Murmansk, built of stone in 1927, in the historic center of the city, in the streets of the Comintern. Construction of the consumer society, transport (SST) was started in the spring of 1927 and completed by the autumn. Until 1927 street Comintern had a way located on both sides of the frames of logs. In winter, December 19, 1989 was held the opening ceremony of the first in the city exhibition hall, which soon became the Murmansk Regional Art Museum. The permanent exhibition is called "domestic fine arts during the 18-20 centuries". It consists of several sections, one of which is entirely devoted to Russian art of 18-19 centuries.
