Rural parish church in Mikkeli - a large wooden building, located in the western part of the city. This third largest church in Finland, for up to 2,000 people, was built in 1816-17gg. by architect Charles Bassi in accordance with the religious traditions of Finland. Following the canons of the Lutheran Church, the style of the building reminds the intersection of the cross and square.
In the eastern wall of the temple is an altar with the image of the crucifixion of Christ, which is a copy exhibited in the Louvre painting by Pierre Pudhoni.
The restorers managed to keep intact with 1873. facade of the church, as well as the old bell, cast in 1752g.
Entrance to the village church free, but its doors are open to tourists in the summer.
