Salavin National Park has an area of 721 square kilometers, it takes place on the famous river Salavin, which is a natural border between Thailand and neighboring Myanmar (Burma). It originates in Tibet, stretching more than 3,000 kilometers, runs through China, Thailand and Myanmar. In the vernacular name of the river sounds like we Mae Kong.
