The most famous market in Madrid and one of the most popular cultural attractions - a market of San Miguel. The market is located on the square of San Miguel, close to the famous Plaza Mayor. Once upon a time this place was a temple, and after the fire in 1790 the area was formed here. For a long time, trade is conducted in the open. It was not until 1916, when the architect Alfonso Dube-and-Diez were erected building market teeming with delicate wrought-metal designs.
