Jardim do Mar - a district that is located in the western part of the municipality of Calheta, which is located on the island of Madeira. Calheta The municipality is one of the oldest municipalities of the island of Madeira. Calheta was originally the village, which is considered the founding date of 1430. In 1502 he received the status of Calheta village with the right to education of the municipality. There are several assumptions, hence the name of the municipality.
