Church of Saints Olga and Elizabeth - is the first point of interest, which, in addition to the train station welcomes guests of Lviv immediately after his arrival in the city. Erection of the Latin parafialnogo temple, dedicated to the faithful of the western suburbs, was held at the beginning of the 20th century. The church was consecrated in honor of Empress Elisabeth - known and respected tragically lost the wife of Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria I.

The project involves the construction of G. Talevskogo church in Neo-Gothic style. Exterior view of the cathedral has a similarity with the North American architecture and the components of French Gothic romantic style: peaked tall spiers, the portal in the center of which rose a large, arched windows, vertical solution of internal space. Two symmetrically arranged towers, and one highest up the facade of the temple; their tall spiers crowned with crosses. The towers can be seen from a considerable distance. At the height of the temple - the highest in the city (85 m).

Entrance to the temple is decorated with sculptural composition "Crucifixion with Pristoyaschim" famous master P.Voytovicha. In the 20 years the temple was the organ works of the famous Polish company Biernacki Wenceslas and Dominica. No significant damage to the Church of St. Olga and Elizabeth did not receive during the two world wars. Temple lasted until 1946. In the Soviet period it housed a warehouse. Restoration work began only in the early 90s. the last century. In 1991 the church was transferred into the possession of the Greek-Catholic community, and the church is illuminated by Sts. Olga and Elizabeth.

Today the church acting, it can visit all comers. You can come to the solemn service, or simply stand at the altar in silence and prayer, to experience for yourself the special feeling of unity with God that reigns here.
