Pre-Columbian archaeological museum Rafael Larco Herrera, founded in 1926, located in the former royal mansion of the XVIII century, built on the foundation of the pyramid of VII century surrounded by a blooming garden. The museum houses one of the richest collections of articles made of gold and silver, a collection of articles made of metal, ceramics and textiles of ancient Peru and the famous erotic archaeological collection.
Pre-Columbian Museum of Archaeology is one of the few museums in the world where visitors can enter the storage area of its 45,000 archaeological artifacts, all cataloged and classified by topic and time.
