Ještěd Mountain is visible from afar. And although her height is only 1012 meters and it is decorated with an unusual structure, reminiscent of either the eastern pagoda, or ultra-modern space ship. This is actually a TV tower, the building which houses a small hotel.

Mount Jested popular among local residents for a long time, thanks to its favorable location and the beautiful view, which opens from its top. That's why enterprising Czechs built a wooden chalet, which placed a cafe and a hotel. Near arranged toboggan hill, well organized, and the observation deck for everyone.

In 1963, the unexpected happened: all the buildings were burned on the mountain was uncomfortable and deserted. But here still have travelers. Then the locals have decided that it is necessary to arrange well the territory and make money from tourists. For the construction of the new building was invited Karel Hubáček. He has created amazing building, for which he received the prestigious and fashionable Architectural Prize.

Construction of the tower lasted 10 years and was opened to the public in 1973.

The structure on the mountain height of 100 meters can go to any traveler. In addition to the hotel, there is a restaurant and not expensive cafes. Snack, you can climb the stairs to the observation deck. It offers a great view of the Reserve Jested.

At the foot of the television tower, which is also the point where the equipment is located local mobile operators, give bicycles on which to explore the surrounding area.
