Relatively new Church of St. Boniface in Liberec built in the early XX century, its beauty and splendor is not inferior to his old "fellow" and deserves the attention of tourists. It is located in an area called Lower Ganesh.

The decision to build a new church for the German population that lived in Liberec, was adopted in 1896. At the same time it was announced to raise funds for the new church. Money donated to the church and the poor and the rich. After about 20 years, it has the correct amount, so it was possible to think about the purchase of land and construction of the temple.

Locals believe that the church was erected prohibitively long time - 4 years. The first stone of its foundation was laid in 1915, but then the global events and related economic difficulties did not allow to complete construction of the church. The church was consecrated in 1919 by the name of St. Boniface.

Above the temple worked a talented local architect Anton Moller, who designed not only the Church, but also restaurants, slaughterhouses and public buildings.

In 1945, the Germans leave the territory of the Czech Republic, so the service in the church of St. Boniface are rare. The church almost continually closed its decaying building. To avoid the threat of a collapse in the press periodically start talking about its demolition. In 1989 the church passed to the Order of the Franciscans, who conducts repairs here.

The temple is decorated with a small tower height of 33 meters. Its interior is decorated simply and succinctly: inside you can see the pristine white walls and a small altar on which a statue of the patron saint of the church.
