Photo: Cave Cueva de los Verdos
The main attraction of Lanzarote is the cave Cueva de los Verdos. It is located in the north of the island under the lava fields of the volcano Corona. This is the largest lava cave in the world - it stretches for six kilometers, some of its facilities reach 24 meters in width and 15 meters in height. The cave was formed when the river of molten basalt from the side of the crater of the Crown continued to flow under cooled down and solidified lava bed down in the sea. So I get a natural tunnel with bizarre shapes of walls and ceilings. In one of the halls of the cave built concert hall.
