Kholui Museum of Art was established on a voluntary basis in 1959 and the main purpose of the gathering was then Kholuy miniature painting. But from the very inception, the museum has acquired a collection of complex character: the villagers brought here everyday objects, icons, manuscripts and incunabula, writing goods, paintings Kholuy masters. These exhibits and became the basis of the museum's collection.

Now the museum has collected more than 700 of the best works of artists Kholui since the organization of the fishery to the present day. Here you can see a large collection of ancient art, Kholui stitching and embroidery, paintings, drawings, folk art, which are exhibited in temporary exhibitions. In the year it held 10 exhibitions of its own funds and funds of other museums.
