Kromeriz - a fairly large city, located a few dozen kilometers from Zlin. Its main attraction - a castle of the same name, which is under UNESCO protection. This citadel - a favorite residence of the bishops and archbishops of Olomouc - performed the backdrop for many important historical events. For example, in 1848-1849 years in the halls of the castle is going to MPs to discuss the text of the first Austrian constitution. This event will tell you any local tour guide and show the layout, which was built in our time in the palace chambers.

Time base Castle - XI century. At first it was a Gothic building, which has undergone many changes, and, as a result, was transformed into the Renaissance. It happened in the XVI century. The castle has become more suitable for everyday life, it consisted of four buildings interconnected galleries, and high towers. The space between the castle and the river Morava was given a luxurious garden, where you can find and artificial ponds, and lush flower gardens and secluded benches, surrounded as a screen vyuschimisyarasteniyami and light pavilions and picturesque colonnades, and many other places to excellent recreation. All of this exists today. Walking through the garden, adjacent to the Archbishop's palace - a pleasure!

But back to the story. For 1643 as a result of ruthless Thirty Years War the castle was completely destroyed. And in 1665 on the old foundation of the efforts of the Italian architects there is a new palace in the classical style. That's it we see now.

The main "highlight" of the palace is considered to be a luxury Art Gallery, which collects masterpieces. Here you can see paintings by Titian, Cranach and many other artists.
