Obstruction City traces its history from the Middle Ages. On the northern slopes of Mount Kunagora today are the ruins of an ancient castle. During the Turkish invasions, the castle was looted and abandoned, and later reconstructed for a long time, but has not been completely restored.

Architectural jewel of the city is the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Its height is 38 meters, length - 19 meters. The church was built in neoclassical style. The dominant element is the two high towers with a triangular pediment. In 1876, the last restoration was carried out, plastered and repainted wall, renovated gables, doors, windows and the roof of the building.

The main altar was installed in 1844 and resembles a spacious and elegant marquee, which is located in the center of the image of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In the church there are side altars - St. Joseph with his image as a man, made by an unknown artist, the altar of St. Epiphanius and the altar of All Saints. In the church, the organ of the famous master Francis Vogt, bought in 1854.

In the southeast of the city are home Dubrava, exact data about the time of its construction has been preserved, as well as one-storey palace Bezhanets having a rectangular shape and is built in the style of late baroque and classicism.

Also Hedge preserved two-story building of the XIX century, was born and lived for some time the famous writer Janko Leskovar (1861-1949 biennium) and the famous pharmacy and a workshop for the production of medicines Adolf Thierry, known throughout Europe pharmacist.
