Expocenter of Ukraine is an international multifunctional complex designed to demonstrate the industrial, scientific, cultural and other achievements. Expo was launched in 1958 as the Exhibition of Economic Achievements of the USSR and until today had several times changed its name. It was, and Center of Exhibitions and Fairs of Ukraine, and the National Exhibition Centre of Ukraine, and now - the National Complex Expocenter of Ukraine.

The idea of ​​building Expocentre was proposed in the late 40s of the twentieth century, but construction only began in 1952 and dragged on for six years. Design Expocentre carried out by employees of the Institute "Dniprogorod" for the design of pavilions to attract the best sculptors and artists of the country.

Initially, in Expocentre placed such halls as the "Energy and Electrification", "Coal, oil and gas, and iron and steel industry", "Engineering and Instrumentation", "Construction and building materials industry", "Crop", "Plastics and plastic materials", "Animal "" Technical Culture "," Vegetables, horticulture and viticulture "and others.
