Kizichesky (Vvedensky) monastery is located near the center of Kazan, in the street Decembrists. The monastery was named in honor of the holy martyrs of Cyzicus.

The monastery was founded by Patriarch Adrian in 1687-1691 years. In the third century in the city of Cyzicus were tortured nine Christians. In 1645, the metropolitan of Cyzicus Anempodist sent a gift of the relics of martyrs Russian Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich. In 1693 the relics were sent to Kazan Kizichesky abode. The relics and the miraculous icon of the Holy Martyrs Cyzicus was the main shrine of the monastery. They are revered as healers fever.

The architectural ensemble of the monastery formed Kizichesky: temple in honor of Presentation of Mary, the church of St. Prince Vladimir, the five-tiered bell tower (the height of a cross 56 meters), the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the chapel.

After the 1917 revolution Kizichesky monastery was closed. By 1930, it was destroyed by the bulk of the disappeared cemetery. Thanks to the active protests of the museum department managed to maintain fraternal body and gate church. The surviving buildings until the end of the 90s was a military enlistment office.

In 2001, by order of the authorities of the city of Kazan Kizichesky monastery complex was transferred to the Kazan Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. In 2002, the governor was appointed Kizichesky Monastery Archimandrite Daniel (Mogutnov) Baptism and held its first service. In 2009, in connection with the construction of the pipeline close, just two meters from the fraternal body, there is a real threat of collapse of the building. Residents of Kazan and the local TV "Ether" succeeded in stopping the work on laying gas pipes.

There is an ongoing construction and restoration work. In the church of Prince Vladimir held daily service.
