Bridge over the River Kwai became a legend after repeatedly appeared in feature films and literature. One of their most famous films is a film by David Lynch's "The Bridge on the River Kwai", filmed in 1957 and earned seven Academy Awards. However, the film - a fantasy with a share of the truth. Railway Bridge over the River Kwai in Thailand is located between the village of Ban Pong in Thailand and Burma Thanbuzayyat. Its construction took place during the Second World War. Built led Japan to establish a supply of goods to India and back by rail. Work was due to prisoners of war and local Asians who worked in inhumane conditions for a year. Every year on November 28 Bridge over the River Kwai held a grand festival in memory of the victims of the bombing and in 1944. It includes large-scale laser and music show.
