Kaluga Music House was opened in 2006. With this Kaluga residents were able to enjoy the different styles of music in a specially equipped room.

The building of the house of music in the style of Russian Art Nouveau. The architect made O. Boyko. The House of Music are the creative activity: Municipal Chamber Choir under the direction of Kulaeva, Municipal Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Azatova, jazz band «Jazzatov Band» R. Azatova Capped by a string quartet. Hall of the House of Music is designed for 250 seats.

On the ground floor of the House of Music is an art gallery. In the foyer of the House of Music each month to the visitors are offered a new photo exhibition. Department of Fine Arts House of Music regularly organizes and conducts festivals, exhibitions, art fairs, workshops, lectures, meetings with well-known representatives of the art community of Kaluga region and other cities. One of the main tasks is to establish Galleries cultural ties. Here are regularly held exhibitions of artists of the Kaluga region, Lipetsk, Bryansk, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tarusa, Italy.

One of the main directions of the gallery is to promote young local artists. The combination of visual art with music is a "brand" arcade-style House of Music.
