Prince Vladimir Monastery in Irkutsk - a functioning Orthodox monastery, located on the outskirts of Kashtakovskoy workers on the mountain.
The base of the temple in 1888 was dedicated to the 900 th anniversary of the baptism of Rus Prince Vladimir the Great. The temple was built on the money donated by the merchant Vasily Litvintsovym. The locals call this temple "litvintsevskim" or "white". The author of the project was the architect Vladislav Kudelsky.
Prince Vladimir temple is made in the pseudo-architectural style with a beautiful belfry with two domes on the western wall and three domes on the east. Inauguration of the monastery took place in July 1903
As of 1904-1905. during the Russian-Japanese war in the monastery he was placed Red Cross Hospital. Church and teachers' school was opened in 1900. In 1905 the school was transformed into the seminary, after which it was placed in the newly constructed building.
