It is located on the territory of the Hong Kong park. The museum is housed in one of the oldest colonial buildings in Hong Kong - Flagstaff - House (built in 1846), which used to be the residence of Chief of the British forces.
The permanent exhibition is dedicated to the Chinese tea pot - it presents an extraordinary collection of 600 teapots and objects for the tea ceremony from the era of the Western Zhou (1051 - 771 BC) to the present day.
In the small museum shop selling small pots bizarre shapes (in the form of a lotus leaf, bamboo stem), copies of old teapots and wonderful creations of contemporary artists, as well as books about the tea ceremony.
