House-Museum of Maxim Bogdanovich in Grodno was founded in 1986 in the house where in 1892-1896 he lived with his family Belarusian poet. Maxim Bogdanovich Adamovich - a poet-classic of Belarusian literature. Born on November 27, 1891 in Minsk. In 1892 the family moved Bogdanovich in Grodno, where the poet's father, Adam Bogdanovich Ye got a job in a peasant bank. In 1896, his mother died of tuberculosis Maria Afanasevna Maxim Bogdanovich, after which the family was forced to move to Nizhny Novgorod.
At the time when this house lived Bogdanovich, in their intellectual family gathered famous people: writers, artists, scientists. There was music and recite poems.
In 1986 it was decided to create the literary department of the Grodno State Historical and Archaeological museum in the house where the family lived poet. Laborious work began on the reconstruction of interiors, collection of documents and objects belonging to the family Bogdanovich. Already in 1995, the museum collections were more than 13 thousand units. The museum got independence and the new name of cultural institution "Museum of Maxim Bogdanovich."
The museum exposition is located in five rooms with a total area of 150 square meters: the office of his father, mother's room, children's room, living room, portrait gallery. The rooms recreated environment in the form in which it was at the time when there lived a family of the poet.
