Church of the Finding of the Holy Cross and the Monastery of Bernardine - now operating the largest Catholic churches of Grodno. This architectural masterpiece was built gradually during the XVI-XVIII centuries, repeatedly rebuilt and rebuilt, so now is a mixture of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. The church is three-nave basilica shestistolpny. Adjacent monastery building close to the church, forming a single architectural complex with a closed patio.

The construction of a wooden monastery in 1494 on land donated by the Grand Duke of Lithuania Alexander Jagiellon Bernardine Order. In the second half of the XVI century, it flourished in Grodno, when King Stefan Batory actually made it his capital. At that time, the monastery is growing and continues its construction.

When Sigismund III Vasa in 1595, construction began on the church of the Bernardine monastery. The church was consecrated on May 13, 1618 Bishop Eustace Valovichem. In 1660, a chapel of St. Barbara, blocked roof, repaired the temple.

In the church is preserved the body of the XVII century. The interior is decorated in XVII-XVIII century. In the niches of the temple are sculptures of the 12 apostles and the 12 prominent figures of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

Despite the fact that in Soviet times the temple and monastery were closed, they are well preserved to this day. Now the building of the monastery is located Graduate Roman Catholic seminary that prepares Catholic priests.
