A small ancient town of Glastonbury is located in the county of Somerset in southwest England. Ancient history and many legends associated with this place attracts thousands of tourists from around the world. One of the most popular and favorite tourist attractions - Museum of rural life Somerset.

The main building of the museum - the XIV century tithe barn, previously owned by the influential and rich Glastonbury Abbey. There threshed and winnowed the grain, but here it was stored. The barn was built from local limestone. In 2011 Glastonbury master made new doors to the barn, using ancient techniques and materials. The height of doors - 4, 3 meters.

The barn and the yard next to it collected samples of agricultural machinery second half of XIX - early XX century. In the museum, you can learn how to do before butter, cheese and apple cider as harvested turf and more. Most of these exhibits - acting, and museum visitors can see it with my own eyes. It is good to come with the whole family, because the museum is designed for visitors with children. For them arranged interactive demonstrations in which children are happy to participate.

The museum has an apiary and orchard, as well as the rare breeds are bred sheep and poultry.
