Natural Park of Monte Orlando is spread over an area of 89 hectares in the city of Gaeta on the coast of the Gulf of Gaeta. It consists of a ground part, which occupies 59 hectares of sea area and an area of 30 hectares, under the auspices of the international environmental organization WWF. The Cape itself Monte Orlando is a natural extension of the Aurunci mountain range and part of the regional park "Riviera di Ulisse", along with protected areas Dzhanola Monte Scauri and Sperlonga.

Since the 16th century, Monte Orlando was incorporated into the fortress of Gaeta, and in 1986 was created by a natural park. On its territory, the highest point, is a monument to Roman architecture - the mausoleum of Lucius Planck. Among the other attractions worth mentioning two small churches - one is executed in the Romanesque style, and the second was built in the 20th century.
