At 8 km from Fethiye is the abandoned village. Since the XVIII century, there was a Greek settlement. But in 1923, authorities evicted all Greeks and instilled here arrived from Macedonia Muslims. However, the Muslims soon left the village and moved closer to the sea. Since no one lives here.
In the village of 3, 5, thousands of houses and three churches, including the Basilica of Panay Pirgiotisa (late XIX century) with well-preserved mosaics and marble decorations. The Greeks, leaving the village, exhumed the remains of their loved ones, but took with them only their skulls. The remaining bones of the dead residents piled into one of the buildings of the church courtyard, where they can be seen today.
