Chuvashia is considered the symbol of the monument "Mother Patroness", located in the historic city of Cheboksary. The complex, located on the ancient hill overlooking the west side of the Cheboksary Bay, includes a sculpture made of granite, marble and copper, as well as the "Singing Fountain", set in the bay of the Volga River.

The sculpture depicts a woman-Chuvash in national attire with hands outstretched toward designating gesture of embrace, blessing and protection. The inscription on the pedestal plate made in two languages: "Blessed are my children, who live in peace and love." Author of the idea of ​​this grand structure was the president of Chuvashia - Nikolai Fyodorov, and embodied the idea - sculptor Vladimir Nagornov in collaboration with A.Trofimovym, V.Filatovym, Yu.Novosёlovym and A.Oreshnikovym. Monument opened the ninth of May 2003, it is the tallest sculpture in Chuvashia, its height - 46 meters and weight of more than fourteen tons.

To erect a symbol of revival of spiritual values ​​in the region was chosen not by chance that the image of the mother. According to anthropologist G.B.Matveev "pride in Chuvashia Chuvash nation is precisely the woman - the conductor and the support of ethnic and cultural values." At close range, you can see the bandage with ornamental fringe necklace on the chest and the suspension of the coins on the headdress. The pedestal is tied with a wide ribbon ornament with traditional elements - stars, symbolizing fire.
