Basilica della Kolledzhata, also known as Santa Maria del Elemozina - is a church in Catania, built in the style of the Sicilian Baroque. Work on its construction began after the devastating earthquake of 1693 and was completed only in 1768.
Creating a project of the church is credited Angelo Italy, which changed the position of the previous building destroyed by a disaster, so that a new church has been turned into Via Usedom (now Via Etnea), in accordance with the plan to rebuild the city. The facade, which had been worked Stefano Ittar - one of the best examples of the style Sicilian Baroque Catania.
The church has two orders, the first consists of six stone columns topped with a balustrade.
