The main building of the museum in the western region (Matabeleland) includes a comprehensive library and numerous galleries. The museum presents the world-famous collection of themes: entomology (the study of insects), geology, herpetology (the study of living reptiles and amphibians), ichthyology (the study of fish), ornithology (birds), paleontology (prehistoric life forms).
