Medieval gate of Halle - all that remains of the ancient city walls of Brussels. They were built in the second half of the 14th century and has repeatedly been threatened with demolition. For a long time there was a prison for prisoners of war, and then the civilians. Since 1847 these walls a museum, but it quickly became clear that the first gate must be completely reconstructed, and that was done.
