Medieval gate of Halle - all that remains of the ancient city walls of Brussels. They were built in the second half of the 14th century and has repeatedly been threatened with demolition. For a long time there was a prison for prisoners of war, and then the civilians. Since 1847 these walls a museum, but it quickly became clear that the first gate must be completely reconstructed, and that was done. At the end of the 20th century it had a new restoration and in 2008 opened a branch of the Museum of History and Art, as well as an exhibition on the history of the gate itself.   I can complement the description
