Bentyamabophit Wat, one of the youngest Royal Monastery in Bangkok, was founded in the early twentieth century. His second name - Marble Temple - the complex was due to the fact that its walls are covered with gray Carrara marble. Its design involved the Italian architect Manfredi Hercules.

The temple is decorated with wonderful stained-glass windows made in the Victorian style, depicting scenes from Thai mythology. In the building where he lived, King Rama V during his temporary monasticism preserved murals depicting events of the era of his reign. One of the rooms is kept ashes of Rama V.

In the yard of wool put up bronze statues of Buddha, including the famous Walking Buddha.
