American Jim Thompson organized silk production in Thailand, which came into decline after World War II. In 1959 he brought back from the province of ancient Thai houses XVIII-XX centuries. and set them in any order on the territory of his manor house in Bangkok. Now it houses a collection of antiques and works of art covering the time period of fourteen centuries.
