Park "Monte Conero" is situated on the slopes and in the vicinity of the mountain of the same name, at the foot of which, in turn, is located Ancona, the capital of the Italian region of Marche. It is a true paradise for lovers of outdoor activities and contact with nature. On the park, which lies to the south of the city, laid over 18 hiking and cycling routes that go through the very real thickets and woods which offers a magnificent view of the Adriatic Sea. Take a walk in the park, total area is 5800 square meters, it is possible as an experienced guide who will introduce the local flora and fauna, as well as their own. Moreover - even here you can pave your own path!

During the campaign for the "Monte Conero" can be found many species of birds, most of which are migratory, - such as the peregrine falcon. They live here and birds of prey at night, and of the animals - badgers, martens, stoats and reptiles. Also at the park, created in 1987, there are several historical and cultural attractions, which you can literally stumble. For example, the unique caves and white limestone cliffs, the likes of which you will not find anywhere else on the Adriatic coast from Trieste to the Gargano. And on top of the mountain there are ruins of settlements of Palaeolithic - it more than 100 thousand years! It should be noted, and the church of Santa Maria in Portonovo and San Pietro in the Conero. A must visit point of the park is tasting of local dishes and wines.

The mountain itself Monte Conero height of about 572 meters got its name from the title of one of the most ancient products, which the ancient Greeks called "komaros", and the Italians - "korbetstsolo" - a "marine cherry" common Mediterranean bush with round fruit similar at the cherry. Its fruits are very sweet, and the insides depending on the degree of ripeness are yellow and bright red. These berries are harvested in autumn and eat fresh or frozen. Some make wine korbetstsolo.
