National Park Matusadona located on the wild southern shore of Lake Kariba, and can be reached by road from Carmi or (more conveniently) on the water from the Kariba (Tashinga Camp, 48 km. South-west of Kariba, Changachirere Camp 26 km. in the south-south-west), Sanyati West and three other towns. The development of this region deliberately restrained, so that visitors could enjoy the atmosphere of unspoilt Africa. Both camps are provided with running water and bathrooms and can comfortably accommodate two other special tourist camps. Matusadona became popular due to the fact that tourists are given a rare opportunity to observe the wildlife with both the land and from the water.
