In the south of the village of New Nekouz located Epiphany Church, dating from the 1806 year. This temple is one of the few in the territory Nekouz that never closes.

Once the church belonged to the village of St. Nicholas Zamoshye, which now became part of the district center. Previously, there were two churches: winter, whose date of construction - 1873, and the old, built in 1807. Both buildings have been equipped with the bell tower.

The appearance of the church is peculiar - a small winter church, equipped with a head, adjacent to the high slender tower, consisting of three tiers. The Church of the Epiphany there are three altars: the first consecrated in honor of the Assumption of Mary; second - in the name of St. Nicholas and the last - in honor of St. Alexis the Wonderworker, Metropolitan of Moscow.

There is evidence that until 1932 at a distance of a few tens of meters away old church, which was dismantled by the authorities on the bricks for the needs of the district center is building new Nekouz.

The brick bell tower of the temple is the hallmark of the village of New Nekouz. She greets all guests at the entrance to the village by road Uglich - Nekouz.
