Boyana waterfall is on the river of the same name near the Bulgarian capital Sofia, about five kilometers from the center of Sofia Boyana quarter. Boyana waterfall is the largest in the mountain massif Vitosha. The height of the drop of water is approximately 20 meters.

Spring day in clear weather Boyana waterfall can be seen from the center of Sofia. During the melting of the snows in the highest parts of the mountains Vitosha most full-flowing river. This period is the most favorable for contemplation waterfall Boyana because it looks impressive because of numerous spray.

Waterfall can be reached in three ways. The easiest way out is Kopitoto. Depending on the pace of walk around the scenic countryside takes from one hour to one and a half hours. Most of this route runs along the plains. The most difficult is the final part of the path that leads directly to the waterfall on rocky terrain and descends steeply to the top of the waterfall.

Two other route starts at the edge of Boyana quarter, its buildings from the past. The sign indicating the beginning of the path is above the Boyana Church. The first route climbs steeply up the river Bojana, it has white and green markings. The second route is slower, it is slowly gaining height and passes close to Boyana lake.
