Mausoleum Anthimus I - burial structure is located in the courtyard of the Archdiocese of Vidin. Here are stored the remains and Preslav Metropolitan of Vidin, chairman and founder of the Grand National Assembly and the first Bulgarian Exarch, who lived in the period from 1812 to 1888.
The mausoleum was built by the architect Ilya Popov in 1934. Stone building resembling a church, at the base of a square shape. The building is crowned low octagonal prism, giving rise to a small cylindrical tower with windows. The latter is made of white stone and is surmounted by a dome. Entrance to the tomb is decorated in the form of decorative arches, standing on four columns decorated with capitals - two on each side. Above the arch is in the form of a mosaic portrait Anthimus I.
Inside the walls of the mausoleum is decorated with murals. In the middle of the room is a statue by the sculptor Ivan Dudulova depicting sitting Exarch. The underground tomb is a sarcophagus with the remains of the Exarch.
Decree number 84 dated December 31, 1975 the mausoleum of Antim I, was declared a cultural monument of Bulgaria.
