Givskud Zoo is located at a distance of twenty kilometers to the north-west of Vejle in Denmark and combines the zoo and safari park. The park opened in 1969 and was called Løveparken, meaning "Lion Park", because the lions were the only animals represented there at the time. In 1970, the park added to the elephants, and today there you can see more than 700 animals representing 70 species. Givskud Zoo is home to several animals that are popular in their own way and are known. He lived on a reservation of 6 years, and then died in the fight for territory with another male rhinoceros. In the zoo, there is another animal, which is known to many - is the gorilla Samson. He even repeatedly shown on Danish television.
