Manoel Theatre was built in 1731 during the reign of Grand Master Manoel de Wilhelm. Having established the theater, the Grand Master took care of aesthetic education and a decent holiday knights after righteous works for the good of the Order. The theater building was badly damaged during the Second World War and was completely renovated in 1960. The unique acoustic properties of the room it got worldwide recognition. The museum houses a collection of the theater theatrical costumes, portraits, drawings, as well as fragments of scenery.
