Natural Park "Orcières Rochchavre" consists of the eponymous alpine zone, which lies between the valleys of Val di Susa, Sangone and Kizone and dryland Orrido di Kyanokko and Orrido di Foresto in the Val di Susa.

"Orcières Rochchavre" spread in the highlands between the four peaks towering to the sky to a height of 2800 meters (Monte Orcières, Rocca Nera, Punta and Punta della crystallin Gavia). In the central and eastern parts of the park you can find several lakes of glacial origin - Chardonnay, La Mania, the Lago Soprano, Lago Sottana and others. And the south-eastern part with its green outcrops of rocks characterized by lush shrubs. In general, the vegetation of the park is very interesting, as is common at different heights, and three valleys of the park are different in their climate and soil conditions.

From the sights "Orcières Rochchavre" stands out the cave Shanti in which 2, 5 thousand years before Christ lived semi-nomadic tribes of hunters and shepherds. Held here in 1983, archaeological excavations have learned to light handmade items from the bones of animals treated with stones and fragments of pottery. The rocky surface of the cave literally covered dug in the rock grooves, the purpose of which remains a mystery. Noteworthy, and other historical and architectural monuments - forts and San fenestrelle Morita, the Carthusian monastery of Monte Benedetto, numerous chapels, sacred places and shelters.

"Orrido di Kyanokko", covering an area of ​​26 hectares in the municipality of the same name, was founded for the protection of a single locus in the Piedmont holly. This part of the park is remarkable gorge Kyanokko Chiron about 10 meters and a depth of about 50 meters, formed by the river Prebek. Generally, all over this river abounds with interesting landscapes and unique ecosystems.

Another cluster park "Orcières Rochchavre" - the section Orrido di Foresto - was founded to protect the thickets of red juniper. It covers an area of ​​200 hectares in the municipalities of the compass needle and Susa. Here, too, one can find beautiful valley, which was formed by the river Rocciamelone. A small area between the Orrido di Foresto and Mompantero literally dotted with petroglyphs.
