One of the most famous streets, to preserve the soul of the old Uzhgorod is street Korzo. Korzo Street has long been a commercial center of the city, inhabited by craftsmen. This name was given Neapolitan street Drugets graphs, it translates from the Italian as "walking street". Getting it takes its independence from the waterfront to the Theatre Square and ends at the foot of Koryatovicha area of the castle hill.

In the late 17th century the street was called the Bridge, it was later named after the famous Hungarian writer F. Kazinczy, as in Soviet times, was renamed the street Suvorov. The historical name of the street returned after the proclamation of independence of Ukraine. The name came in handy, because this is where many centuries Uzhgorod like to make evening walks.

The architectural appearance of the street, formed in the late 19th - early 20th centuries, virtually unchanged. On both sides of the road built along the two- and three-storey houses with exquisite stucco ornaments. Beautiful architectural design of buildings combines a variety of architectural styles, elements and motifs expressing an Austro-Hungarian and Czechoslovak color. Here, as many years ago, I placed a lot of small shops, cafes and restaurants.

A favorite meeting place for Uzhgorod and guide for visitors is the intersection of the street and the street Korzo Voloshin - the so-called "Cross". It is here you can see a beautiful house, built in the late 19th century, under the name of "The White Ship". Besides imposing buildings Korzo walking down the street you can see the other sights of Uzhgorod - the building of the former synagogue at the Theatre Square, which now houses the Philharmonic Hall, the Church of St. George (George), and others.
