One of the outstanding examples of the late Gothic style, falling home in Ulm today is not just a local attraction. The traditional half-timbered some areas of Germany looks authentic, besides, the house hanging over the water, which is also characteristic of the medieval Ulm, which mostly lived artisans of different professions. "Falling" this house is named because its slope is 9-10 degrees, which, of course, is not only of interest from tourists, but also controversial architects and builders on how to not let it fall completely.
One of the main tourist landmarks, falling house located in the old quarter. The building dates back to the 14th century and encouraged by the fact that virtually has not changed its appearance from the distant 1443. Despite the fires and wars, the house has retained all of its characteristic features until the moss on the roof, and its interior decoration, of course, change frequently. Interesting architecture, full of complex engineering solutions: diagonal mounting of the first floor bear the main function and support the subsequent floors. The wood that was used in the construction, belongs to the category of ship, distinguished by a special strength.
Legend has it that in the basement of this interesting house used to be equipped with the storage of fish that were brought by local fishermen. Some changes have occurred in the mid-17th century, when the building has been strengthened and no longer serves commercial purposes. And with the end of 1995 in the house staged one of the most attractive tourist hotels: joke, spend a few days in the house, which has no analogue anywhere in the world!
