One of the largest parks in South Africa, consists of 3 reservations - Shushluvi, Umfolozi and corridors, the total area of 96,000 hectares. The first two were founded in 1895, and the Corridor in 1989. It is in this park in the 60s was launched world-famous "Operation Rhino" to save this species from poachers. Today, the park is home to over one-fifth of the world population of black and white rhinos. Before the foundation of the park, this area was part of the hunting grounds of Zulu kings. Landscape Shushluvi represented by dense green trees and mountains, while the Umfolozi - open, relatively dry bush (savanna). One of the best points of observation of the animals is Mfafa Hyde (Mphafa hide) in the Umfolozi.
