During the Russian-Turkish War in the Bosphorus, in 1829 in the month of May, the brig "Mercury", equipped with twenty guns, entered into an unequal battle with the ships of the two adversaries, 110- and 74-gun "Selim" and "Real-Bey" . A desperate sea battle lasted more than four hours .
