Museum of Modern Art in Salzburg consists of two museums, which are located in different places. Rupertinum is the main building of the museum and is located in the center of Salzburg, next to the Palais des Festivals. The museum was built in the early Baroque in 1633. Here, in the heart of the Old Town, for many centuries a seminary. Until 1974, the building was used as a student dormitory.
