Novocherkassk Museum of the artist MB Grekov is located on the same street of the city. The museum was opened in 1957 and is dedicated to the life and work of the outstanding Russian artist, the founder of the Soviet battle-painting era MB Grekov. The future famous artist spent almost 13 years in Novocherkassk, first in the administrative (including teaching) and military service, and later engaged in creative work, which could reveal his talent as an artist.

Novocherkassk period of creativity is considered to be the most fruitful in the life of M . B .  Grekov, here was born more than 70 of his works, including famous paintings: "Battle of Egorlykskaya," "The squad to Budyonny", "Cossack Regiment in the Battle of Borodino", "cavalry", "Tachanka", the first object-painted diorama " Taking of Rostov "and others .  Memorial M . B .  Grekov includes the house where the painter from 1918 to 1931 he lived and worked in creativity, outbuilding, garden .  Constant interest of the visitors to the museum is the artist's studio, which has his desk, easel, sketching accessories, sketches of his works, primed for further work canvas .  On the walls of the original work presented battle painter who dedicated his art mainly to the events of the Civil War .  From this series of works in the museum presents a picture of "The soldiers burst into the village, occupied by Denikin," "Krasnopartizanskaya Squad," "Stand back," "onslaught" and others .  Creativity M .
