Museum of Contemporary Art in Rijeka is a specialized agency created to acquaint the citizens and guests of the city with new trends in art. Not surprisingly, all of the museum associated with contemporary art and new ways of expressing it.
The museum was the foundation after the Second World War in the room Gallery of Fine Art. In 1962, the institution was renamed the Museum of Contemporary Art of independent Croatia. In 1999, the museum becomes the epicenter of the artistic life of Rijeka.
