The exhibits presented in the museum were collected mainly by Italians during their rule on Rhodes (1912-1945) and perfectly illustrate the culture and life of the inhabitants of the Dodecanese Islands in the period of Ottoman domination. Most of the museum's collection dates from the 17th - beginning of the 20th century.

In the museum you can see old furniture and household utensils, various objects made of ceramics and metal, wood engravings, several musical instruments, jewelry and more.
