Church of the Kazan Mother of God - a historical and cultural monument of the 18th century. The history of this temple has more than 240 years. The church is located on top of a picturesque hill not far from Holy Assumption Monastery in the old part of the village.

The name of the hill - Mount Timofeev - directly linked to the tradition of the icon of the Mother of God of Svyatogorsk. This tradition is reflected in the Pskov chronicles: The Life of Saint Timothy and in the Holy story. In 1569, in the summer, whacky Timothy Shepherd, who lived in a suburb of Pskov Voronich made in the mountain cave, spent forty days fasting and praying in the mountain. After his prayer, a miracle happened - on the next, Shinichi, grief was the icon of the Mother of God "Hodegetria". The phenomenon occurred in the presence of the people and priests of Voronich. Now he canonized, and the mountain, where he prayed the blessed Timothy, called Timofeeva. Place the miraculous icon, Shinichi mountain, called the Holy Mountain. Church of the monastery was built here. Not far away, on Mount Timofeeva, built Kazan Church of the Intercession, and a chapel. Around the temple is the ancient village cemetery.

It is known that in the Kazan church liked to be Pushkin. Near the Intercession chapel buried Maria Ivanovna Osipova. She knew the poet during his lifetime, was one of the few in his burial in the Holy Monastery. Pushkin was keenly interested in the life history of Svyatogorsk monastery. In 1836 in the journal "Contemporary" came his laudatory review of the "Dictionary of Saints", which inter alia described the life of St. Timothy.

Church of Our Lady of Kazan is the parish church. It was built in 1765. In the same year he started to act and never closes. The building of the church - a wooden, painted in blue color. Here is a bunk bell tower, which overlooks the picturesque surroundings. Here it is kept the icon of St. Seraphim of Sarov with particles vestments and stone on which it is 1,000 days and nights made his prayer.

Since the temple was acting consistently, after closing in 1924 Svyatogorsk monastery, here it was transferred to the shrine of his temple .  First of all, it's two miracle-working icon of Our Lady - "Hodegetria" and "Theodore" .  All this time these relics were kept in the Kazan Church .  Only after the opening of the Svyatogorsk monastery in 1992, they were again transferred to the monastery .  Many relics from other closed during the Soviet regime and destroyed during the Great Patriotic War of the temples are still in the church .  Probably, this temple would wait for the same fate as the other churches, if not miraculous event that occurred in 1922 .  The church came to the unknown and started to blaspheme God and the image .  He approached the Kazan Mother of God and drove sharp objects .  He immediately dropped dead .  Apparently this case and saved the temple from closing and desolation .  None of the officials do not dare to give such an order .  Many priests who served in the temple during the Soviet era, suffered from repression and the communist regime .

After the Second World War there labored Blessed Paraskeva and other ascetics who lived on one of the slopes of Mount Timofeeva.
In the middle of the last century, the temple served as ascetic, blessed Claudius (Paczkowski). It predicts the opening of the monastery and that the then rector Father Alexander (Balysh) will be there to serve. These predictions have come true.

In 2000, work began on the restoration of the temple, and in 2004 - to restore the Intercession chapel. Since September 2005, the church kept the relics of St. Luke Voyno-Yasenetsky, Archbishop of Simferopol and the Crimea.
