Theatre of Montenegro today is the only professional theater. It is situated in the capital, Podgorica, in a beautiful building, is considered one of the most striking buildings of modern architecture. This is the second building to the Montenegrin Theatre, opened after a long restoration in 1997.

The history of the National Theatre of Montenegro conducted since the early 50s. In the middle of the last century, the country had a 5 professional theaters.
