The majestic building of the Museum of West leaves its main portal of the river Radbuza. This magnificent building was specially constructed in 1898 to house the rich museum collection, which was kept in the city. Architect Joseph Shkorpil drafted a building in neo-Renaissance style. Above the construction of the museum operated by local company Edward Crumb, who invited for interior several leading artists of the time. Stucco facade created by sculptor Selda Klouchek, painted the main hall was entrusted to the artist Augustine Nemeytsu and relief adorning the wide staircase, belonged cutter Adalbert Schaff. The interiors of the museum were made in the fashion in those days, art-deco style.

At the end of the XX century museum building has been completely renovated. Restorers took care of the reconstruction of crystal chandeliers and brass chandeliers that were produced at the beginning of the last century. It was also completely replaced the roof and some stained-glass windows.

West Bohemian Museum has several branches that are located in different parts of the city. This Ethnic Museum, Puppet Museum, Museum of Church Art and exhibition of objects from the collection of Dr. Simon Adler. The main exhibition is located in the building of the West Bohemian Museum. It is dedicated to the history of Pilsen region, paleontology, botany, zoology, archeology, local art and crafts.

A large collection of rifles, pistols, muskets, dated XIV-XVII centuries, is considered to be of local pride and will love to men of all ages. Armoury was founded back when Charles IV.
